GBA police online services: choose the city, task and document route

Before you start

Shenzhen Police's 2026 guidance identifies its website, Shenzhen Police WeChat, iShenzhen and Yue Sheng Shi for particular services. Guangzhou guidance identifies its website, Guangzhou Police or Wei Jing Wu, Yue Sheng Shi and Sui Hao Ban according to the task. Guangdong's exit-entry portal separates Mainland-resident, Hong Kong and Macao permit and foreign-national categories. Across the nine Mainland GBA cities, use the local service checklist. Successful login does not establish that a particular document qualifies for every listed transaction.

What to do, step by step

1. Name the task: replacing a travel document, accommodation registration, residence certificate, driving matter or police help. Exit-entry authorities or 12367 handle immigration questions; 12123 handles supported traffic tasks; 110 is for urgent Police assistance. Do not submit an ordinary administrative form and wait for emergency response.
2. Enter the designated platform from the city Police website or Guangdong Government Services and check its verified operator. Select the correct city and identity category. A search-result QR code or agent-branded police website is not enough to establish official origin, especially where personal documents are requested.
3. Read eligibility, original documents, photo receipts, address or other evidence and required attendance. Chinese and non-Chinese Hong Kong residents, foreign-passport holders and Mainland residence-document holders may have different channels. Where a field does not support your document, ask the authority for the official alternative instead of selecting an inaccurate category.
4. Save submission references, document versions and appointment confirmation, distinguishing submitted, accepted and completed stages. Send supplementary evidence through the original service and attend with originals where instructed. An electronic screen is not universally a substitute for a physical travel document or the remaining official issuance process.

Costs, timing, and things to check

Online non-hotel accommodation registration for foreign nationals was expanded nationally in September 2026, with a separate Immigration 12367 module and host assistance for a first registration. It must not be presented as a universal household-registration process for every Hong Kong resident or substituted for unrelated residence-document applications.

iAM Smart linkage to Yue Sheng Shi supports specified accounts and channels, while individual services may retain eligibility, document and second-stage WeChat checks. Appointment and attendance procedures differ between cities. Confirm the current task-specific guidance rather than extrapolating one completed application across all nine cities.

A practical example

A Hong Kong resident in Foshan asks about permit replacement through Guangdong's Hong Kong and Macao exit-entry category or 12367. A Shenzhen renter checks the local residence checklist. Neither treats traffic-focused 12123 as a universal Police identity tool.
