A hotel's suggested exit and a checkpoint's nearest exit answer different questions; use your actual arrival point.
Shenzhen Railway Station differs from Shenzhen North, while the Hong Kong Lo Wu connection involves border clearance. If the ticket says Shenzhen North, include the transfer before assessing a Luohu hotel. Near-border accommodation does not remove immigration, baggage, queues, hotel registration or the onward return connection.
Booking and check-in sequence
- Confirm arrival at Luohu Port or Shenzhen Railway Station and save the property's Chinese address and official phone. Map your post-clearance exit to the lobby rather than copying a different metro-exit walk.
- Ask about lifts and vehicle drop-off for bags, children or wheelchairs, then map Dongmen or restaurant journeys separately. A nearby railway station does not establish proximity to your activity.
- Confirm each guest's documents, late-arrival hold and storage hours and book beds for the real occupancy. Retain total, meals and deposit, with written confirmation of any seller or platform amendment.
- Before returning, check checkpoint, East Rail and final connections for the day and include bag collection. Plan for unavailable storage or disruption; the checkpoint closing time is not your hotel departure time.
