Location and first arrival
Futian Shangri-La publishes two interconnecting deluxe rooms, one with a queen-size bed and one with twin beds. This defines a room relationship without establishing that any two bookings connect or that the product is available. Hyatt Place Shenzhen Airport separately lists types with and without sofa beds, so one photograph does not describe every sleeping layout.
List age, intended bed, carer and document for each person and have the hotel check actual occupancy. Chinese and non-Chinese Hong Kong residents and other foreign visitors can use different entry documents. Children do not complete border and hotel identity checks simply by accompanying adults. Enter every guest honestly rather than omitting children to obtain a lower displayed quote.
Booking and check-in sequence
- Draw beds and room relationships, indicating whether an internal door is essential and any bathroom, lift or wheelchair needs. A same-floor request is not confirmed connecting accommodation.
- Ask for room type, permitted occupancy, extra-bed or cot conditions and meals by person, checking package and age requirements. Obtain written distinction between allocated arrangements and requests.
- Before a non-refundable rate, ask what happens if an essential connection cannot be supplied. Check linked-room cancellation, price differences, deposits and refund conditions separately.
- Prepare original documents and booking for the whole party and assign adults document, bag and care tasks. Plan naps, storage, activities and return around a workable care arrangement.
Total cost, documents and limits
Confirm pools, children's areas, dining membership benefits and themed decoration for the current booking. Shenzhen Police requires accurate overseas-guest registration, so check each document with reception. The 2024 measures oppose improper overseas-guest accommodation restrictions, without replacing room capacity, care planning or immigration checks.
A question or plan to use
Ask: 'Two adults, two children and two grandparents; children aged ___; grandparents need one room, family beds ___, and an internal connection is essential. Confirm occupancy, meals, allocation, documents, total and the alternative if unavailable.' A reply saying a request has been added needs clarification rather than being treated as a guarantee.
Specify beds and care needs and obtain formal room and total confirmation.
